January 1 Deadline to Submit Delegates for 2013 HOD Meeting
The call has been issued. Now is the time for all CANP chapters to submit their slate of delegates for the 2013 meeting of the House of Delegates (HOD), set for May 6-7 in Sacramento.
The HOD is the voice of all CANP members. Composed primarily of selected representatives from each CANP chapter, it is the legislative and policy-making body of the association. The HOD has the authority to elect the CANP President, President Elect, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Speaker of the House. The HOD also transacts all business of the association not otherwise specifically provided for in the CANP constitution and bylaws.
The CANP bylaws state that each chapter gets one delegate automatically and one additional delegate per 20 voting members as of September 1. View the delegate apportionment counts for 2013.
Delegates must be current active NP Full, 1st Year Graduate or Senior members to vote.
Delegate selections are considered certified only if the form is sent and signed from the Chapter President of an affiliated chapter. The delegate submission form should be completed and returned to CANP via email at erin@canpweb.org. The deadline for submitting the names of your delegates is January 1, 2013.
