Thomas A. Purcell is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, with more than 20 years of leadership experience in medical and professional societies and a strong track record in governance, organizational growth, and revenue development. He is best known for launching the Society of Lateral Access Surgery (SOLAS) and building it into an internationally recognized medical society, and has helped raise more than $30 million in philanthropic and partnership support. Born on California’s Central Coast, he is a fourth-generation Californian and resides in Palm Springs with his adopted cat, Nicolette.

Kristy Wiese supports CANP by contributing to a range of organizational efforts and providing general support where needed. She collaborates with others across the association to help with communication, coordination, and routine tasks that keep day-to-day work moving forward.
Hayden Wagner, Future Solutions Digitaladmin@futuresolutions.ioHayden Wagner is CANP’s IT & Web Specialist (Future Solutions Digital), supporting the association’s day-to-day technology and digital operations. He manages the CANP website and core web tools, helps maintain email and communication systems, and provides reporting insights through analytics and performance tracking. Hayden also coordinates with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and improve member-facing digital experienceshelping ensure CANP’s online presence and systems remain reliable, secure, and easy to use.
