Our continuing education activities are designed to promote professional advancement and to assist nurse practitioners in fulfilling the regulatory, certification and credentialing requirements of their profession.
Courses offered include novel therapies, clinical advances and evidence-based clinical practices relative to diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of patient care. These courses are offered in the form of online webinars, as well as workshops and in-track concurrent sessions at the Annual Educational Conference, three to four days in length. Activities are determined by the practice settings and clinical specialties of the CANP membership, the results of the learning needs survey and the previous conference program evaluation.

The California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) provides a forum and unifying voice for more than 30,000 nurse practitioners statewide, often joining forces with other state and national organizations, to advance the profession and bridge health care needs. As the only association solely dedicated to advocating for nurse practitioners in California, we work to protect and expand the critical roles filled by NPs. As a conduit of information, we foster the dissemination of ideas, advice and standards of practice.
