The California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) will hold its 2026 Lobby Day on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Sacramento. The event will bring together leaders from CANP’s Board of Directors, chapters, and members of the Health Policy & Practice Committee for a day of learning, networking, and advocacy. In 2025, we welcomed Assemblymember Gail Pellerin to the event, who discussed her legislation, AB 583, which supports expanding the scope of practice of nurse practitioners in California, aligning it with the practices already permitted in several other states.
