As the next generation of California NPs advance on their educational path, CANP is here to help. Prior to graduation, NP students must fulfill critical research requirements, including collecting survey data among practicing NPs. From systematic changes to treatment interventions, our NP students are at the forefront of new, innovative research informing the future of the profession. Learn more about the types of projects CANP students currently pursuing a Master's or Doctorate are preparing for to complete their degree.
CANP’s new Student Research Data Access is unleashing this potential. We are pleased to provide our student members an exclusive opportunity to invite CANP’s membership to participate in their data collection for projects and clinical research. This program is designed specifically to grow the foundation of knowledge and data we have amongst our peers and profession.
CANP student members seeking to send surveys required for educational credits to CANP’s membership can purchase the Student Research Data Access in the CANP Store. Each submission costs $100 per survey.
To do this, please log into your CANP member account. Then, visit the CANP Store and complete the following steps:
Students will submit their surveys for approval by CANP’s Student Ad Hoc Committee. Every quarter, approved surveys will be distributed to CANP’s membership. Participation is optional for CANP members.
If you are not currently a CANP student member and would like to access the program, you can join our organization today.

The California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) provides a forum and unifying voice for more than 30,000 nurse practitioners statewide, often joining forces with other state and national organizations, to advance the profession and bridge health care needs. As the only association solely dedicated to advocating for nurse practitioners in California, we work to protect and expand the critical roles filled by NPs. As a conduit of information, we foster the dissemination of ideas, advice and standards of practice.
