The CANP House of Delegates (HOD) is the official voice of the Association and its members, serving as the legislative and policy-making body of CANP.

About the House of Delegates

The House of Delegates is composed primarily of elected representatives from each CANP chapter and is responsible for shaping the direction of the organization.

The meeting is open to all CANP members; however, only seated delegates may vote on official business, including:

  • Election of officers
  • Policy decisions
  • Organizational matters

The HOD holds the authority to elect the following positions:

  • President
  • President-Elect
  • Vice President of Finance
  • Vice President of Corporate Affairs
  • Speaker of the House

To serve as a delegate, individuals must be active CANP members (NP Full, First-Year Graduate, or Senior).

Parking Information

Attendees are encouraged to park in Patient/Public Parking Structure 3, which is within a reasonable walking distance of the North Addition Auditorium.

A parking map is available and includes the locations of both the parking structure and the North Addition Auditorium.

Additional Information

The House of Delegates convenes on a biannual basis.
All members are encouraged to attend and observe the policymaking process.
