New CANP Video Another Resource to Make the Case for AB 890
A new tool has been added to help support the removal of antiquated barriers to nurse practitioner practice in California.
Attendees at CANP’s recent 42nd Annual Educational Conference got a sneak preview of the video “Bridge the Health Care Gap | Support AB 890.” This week, the video was formally launched to be utilized as part of grassroots outreach in support of Assembly Bill 890.
The production emphasizes the shortage of primary care physicians to meet the needs of California’s growing and diverse population for direct access to care. It underscores what CANP members and allies know all to well: that NPs in California have the education, experience and expertise to meet these needs, but are impeded by physician supervision requirements that have been removed in 22 other states.
The video is the newest addition to our Assembly Bill 890 Toolkit (member login required). Utilize support letters, talking points and other resources developed by CANP to assist with your grassroots activism.
