Board meeting to review and agree to chapter alignment and chapter by laws occurred 10/29,minutes and alignment agreement/by laws are posted to site.
Legislative rep: SB 323 is coming back up in January. Now is a good time to reach out to your local representatives. You can go to their websites and easily send an email. Lauren is working on getting a meeting with Assembly member Bloom who abstained during the last vote. If you’d like to go with her, get in contact.
Membership (absent): 161 members active in WLAN chapter as of 11/10/2015, 3200 state members. There are 18,000 NPs statewide—reach out to your friends and talk to them about joining!
Future events:
December 6: holiday party + chapter fund raiser. Mark your calendars for this fun event! It will be at Kristin Kopelson’s house, likely from 3-6 pm but we will send an email when the time is finalized. Entrance fee to CANP PACfund, raffle prizes! This is a fundraiser for the our chapter and the PAC fund, which pays for our legislative aggressiveness and monitoring. The CMA has 8 lobbiests and we have one! We will be raffling off prizes including a suitcase, wine basket and gift card. We look forward to seeing you there!

March 17-20 New Port Beach Annual Education Conference. Registration is open, save money and sign up before Dec 31. Carl will be speaking on spinal cord injury.
May 23: House of Delegates in Sacramento. We need delegates. Please email or call Carl Wherry If interested. We can have 6-8 delegates for our chapter. We will be looking at the bylaws and electing a new state board. Carl is the speaker of the house.
May 24: Lobby Day in Sacramento. It is the day after the House of Delegates, so you can consider doing both!
