Reviewed updates to chapter bylaws
To continue quarterly chapter board meetings and quarterly chapter meetings
Next chapter meeting will be Tuesday, January 16
Submission for House of Delegates at 01/16/18 chapter meeting
Motion to adopt bylaws for chapter- Motion to accept, no opposition, approved
House of Delegates and Lobby Day 4/30/17 and 5/1/17 in Sacramento
41st Annual Nurse Practitioner Annual Conference in March 2018
Looking to give one student NP one day of registration and $100 travel reimbursement
No chapter meeting in March
Fundraisers
Will reduce the price of our bags for sale to $2/bag. Will continue to be available at chapter meetings
Considering bringing back 50/50 raffle at chapter meetings
May develop a subcommittee for fundraising- use Facebook to help promote
Marketing
Plan to update our Facebook page “CANP West Los Angeles North Chapter”
Party in summer- welcome new grads and board members- considering in July- to do with South chapter

Leadership summit attendance: September 30th in Sacramento, CA from 10am-4pm. Plan for three board members from our chapter to attend.
Fundraiser ideas: Wine tasting event, raffle, gala
Future chapter meetings
September- no meeting, postponed
October- TBD
November- Possibly 3rd week of November to celebrate NP week
December- Holiday party early in the month. Member’s house vs venue. Travis and Sandra checking on venue sites and prices and are to report with info by Oct. 7th. To set date by Nov.
NP week in November: Thought to place booths and information/posters about role of NP and how to become member of CANP at our places of employment
Other business
-How to increase CANP membership
-Invite first time non-student, non-member to chapter meeting dinner- $20; first time student- free
-USC/UCLA presentation to students
-How to increase chapter meeting attendance
-Possibly rejoining North and South WLA chapter meetings
-Talk with other chapter board leaders
-Several CEU educational dinners each year in place of pharmaceutical representative dinners- dinner to be provided. NP members encouraged to present specialty topic of their choice.
-Monthly leadership calls with statewide CANP for board members take place every other 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7am-7:30am. Next call will be 9/20/17.
