Ample Opportunities to Learn from Some of the Industry's Most Influential Figures
In addition to networking with peers, learning about the latest legislative advocacy efforts and the chance to soak in the surrounding splendor of one of California’s iconic coastal communities, CANP’s 39th Annual Educational Conference, supported by NSO, provides nurse practitioners (as well as physician assistants, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists and students) an exciting opportunity to learn from some of the most influential figures in the industry.
The conference takes place March 17-20 at the Marriott Newport Beach Hotel & Spa. Register by February 29 to get the lowest rates available, and be sure to take advantage of discounted hotel rates, available through February 26.
Attendees can choose from among nearly 70 engaging educational sessions delivered by recognized and emerging industry leaders. Among the offerings are 10 workshops offering 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in a hands-on interactive setting.
The online registration process allows you to plot your schedule so that you can select which sessions or workshops you wish to attend. Before you register, be sure to check out the full program of sessions and workshops in order to take full advantage of all the CEU opportunities the conference has to offer.
Workshops carry an additional registration fee of $75 each. One exception is the Student Workshop taking place Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m, which is free of charge. Entitled “Professional Practice Issues for New Graduates,” the session is guaranteed to help newcomers to the field prepare for the next step in their professional growth.
Other workshops on the schedule include “Joint Injections in Primary Care,” “Introduction to 12 Lead EKG Interpretation,” “Long Acting Reversible Contraception & Sexually Transmitted Infections, Counseling & Risk,” “Make Yourself Heard: Effective Public-Speaking Skills for NPs,” “Advanced 12 Lead EKG,” “Diabetes Management with Insulin,” “Compassionate Person: Centered Care of the Dying,” “Warm Water Immersion and Water Birth: Why it Works and How to Implement a Program,” and “EKG Boot Camp: Intermediate EKG Interpretation.”
