If you have questions about the CS II certification, visit our Frequently Asked Questions for answers.

Watch our video with tips on taking the exam below.

To Take the Exam

To take the CS II exam, you must first "purchase" the exam and study materials (no cost to CANP members, $300 for non-members). To do this, please log in (if you don't already have a website account, you must create one). Then visit the Store and complete the following steps:

  • Click the "+" button in the green box to add the materials to your cart
  • Click the "View Cart" button
  • Click the "Checkout" button
  • Click the "Process Order" button

Upon completing these steps, you will receive an email that includes a link to download supporting materials for your review. When the download is complete, open the zip file and save the files to your computer. Once you have reviewed the materials and are ready to take the exam, log into your account, click on My Account (found at the top of every page of the website), then click My Continuing Education. At the top of this page you will see a yellow bar that reads "Your latest CS II Exam Status: Pending – Take the exam." Click the link in the yellow bar to take the exam.

A minimum score of 80 percent is required to pass the exam. If you pass the exam you will receive another email including a link to download the materials that are required by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).

To Retake the Exam

If you do not pass the exam you will not see the questions missed and can retake the exam by "purchasing" the course again following the same steps above. These steps may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass the course and exam.
