Featured Practice Question

Can NPs obtain a fluoroscopy license?

NPs are not currently one of the allowed radiologic providers (this includes fluoroscopy) in California. The Department of Public Health website details this information:

Under the Radiologic Technology Act, the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB):

  • Certifies physicians, chiropractors, podiatrists, technologists, and permits technicians and physician assistants (PA) who use X-ray machines on human beings, and administers exams to physicians, technologists, PAs and technicians for X-ray certification & permitting.

Featured Legal Question

My employer is breaking my contract of working 4 ten-hour shifts per week and changing my schedule to 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Do I have negotiating ability in this situation and if so, how much would be an appropriate amount to ask for?

This depends on what your contract states. The most important step is to review whether or not your contract gives them the ability to change your hours.
