Dear CANP members,
We are holding elections for new and continuing leadership. This is a great opportunity for all. Only members can vote and hold leadership office. If you know of a colleague who is interested in leadership position and/or want voting privileges. Please ask them to join CANP now.
We will start nominations on 9/14 next meeting at the Palms. On the 9/26 ( also at the Palms ) we will vote in new and continuing leadership.
CANP has leadership descriptions/Bylaws for all roles. We ( current leaders ) are also available to mentor and/or answer questions.
This is truly a great opportunity to mold your vision into our Chapter.
Brief Local History:
Fresno CANP Chapter 12 was re-opened in Sept 2015.
We the current members/leaders were not sure what we were getting ourselves into.
So we doubled up on leadership roles. So as to help each other.
We plan to continue this format since it worked out well.
Since opening we have doubled our budget, provided two $1,000.00 scholarships.
We have met all quarterly reports, Lobby day, Leadership Summit, competed CANP Alignment Agreement, met with local assemblymen ( Jim Patterson, Joaquin Arambula & Frank Bigelow ) participated in conference calls. We have also held regular monthly meetings.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and speakers. We have attended and promoted our annual CANP Conference. Next year will be held March in San Diego.
We also promoted SB 323 ..set an information table at the Kidney Fair last year.
We have also volunteered for free school and sports physicals and health screens.
We need improvement in fund raising for PAC ( Political Action Committee ) we have donated but not enough.
We will continue to utilize the CANP website to ensure consistency and efficiency in dissemination of specific information of meetings and special events.
We will continue to promote professional development opportunities to build influential and competent NP leaders.
As always thank you.
Fresno CANP Chapter 12 Leadership,
Adela, Gloria, SiewLin, Gretchen, Lisa, Cyndi and Noriko
